HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF CONTRA COSTA ANNOUNCES THE OPENING OF THE LISTED PROJECT-BASED VOUCHER (PBV) WAITING LISTS

A registration code is not required to apply. If you have previously applied for other waiting lists with HACCC, simply use the same login credentials you used before. If you have not applied with HACCC previously, please register and select the option “I do NOT have a registration code”.

Note: ALL PRE-APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED ONLINE. If you require additional assistance, please contact us at 925-957-7085 for assistance. We anticipate higher than usual call volumes, please leave one detailed message and staff will return your call. Completed pre-applications must be submitted by 4:00 PM, Thursday, July 24, 2025.  Incomplete pre-applications or partially completed pre-applications will not be accepted.  Pre-applications received after the 07/24/2025 deadline will not be accepted.

Eligible families will be referred to units subsidized with Section 8 Project-Based Vouchers from the Housing Authority of the County of Contra Costa in partnership with non-profit housing owners.  The housing assistance is only available at the designated properties for families meeting the property restrictions as indicated below in the last column of the chart.  After twelve months of residency, families will be eligible to move with a Housing Choice Voucher, subject to availability. Some properties are for Seniors ONLY and some are family properties.  For the senior properties only, THE HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD OR SPOUSE MUST BE 62 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO APPLY and APPLICATIONS FROM NON-ELDERLY APPLICANTS WILL BE REJECTED. There are units available for leasing, and this is a critical opportunity for applicants to be considered for immediate housing. Three and Four BR households headed by a head of household or spouse that is 62 years of age or older are highly encouraged to apply. This opening is from 10 AM on June 30, 2025, until 4 PM on July 24^th only. After July 24^th, the waiting lists will be closed except for the Terraces Senior Apartments in Richmond. Once fully occupied, applicants will have to wait, in some cases, possibly years until the next opportunity presents itself.
